Mead, Mood & Magic

The Vision: Vintage Geometry & Black + Gold Drama
The moment we toured the space, the vibe clicked: vintage glam meets geometric mood. Think rich textures, dramatic lighting, and that signature black-and-gold palette that Zymarium is known for.
After chatting with Ginger (owner, visionary, mead queen), we designed a custom floral ceremony install that drew the eye up toward the golden sphere chandelier that anchors the main bar area. The goal? Big drama. Lots of glow. Total transformation.
Every once in a while, we walk into a venue and immediately go, “Yep. This one’s got something.”
That was Zymarium Meadery.
Tucked in the heart of Orlando’s Ivanhoe District, Zymarium is usually where you go to sip craft mead and feel cool doing it. However, what most people don’t know is that you can also rent out their private back event space… or go all in and book the entire venue for a wedding. Yes. A meadery wedding. And yes, we were instantly obsessed.

Sunset Hues & Taylor Swift Energy
For the reception setup, we kept the black-and-gold base, but added bold orange accents and vintage decor that felt like golden hour and Folklore-era Swift had a lovechild. On the day of the shoot, Ginger changed the venue lighting to a fiery amber which made the space lit up like a custom sunset.
Lighting doesn’t just set a vibe, it is the vibe. Candles are great, sure. But have you tried LED strips? Affordable, reusable, and easier to place than 200 votives. Bonus: no flame = no drama.

Real vibes, real style
We wanted couples that felt a little rogue. A.k.a bold, expressive, and stylish. So we teamed up with:
The Dressing Room for gowns
Tweeds Custom Suits for looks that fit
Artistry by Adele and Karmel Design Team for flawless hair & makeup

Flowers, Bites and Boozy vibes
San from The Flower Studio created lush bouquets, boutonnieres, and floral magic for the reception and EventWorks brought in the rentals to pull the whole look together.
Sugar Divas Cakery brought the sugar drama with a custom cake
C2 Catering handled the bites for the Open House afterward (because yes — we kept the party going)
And yes, mead was poured. Generously.
capturing the magic
Two incredible photographers captured the shoot through their own lenses:
MAD Images — our forever fave for detail-rich, dark and moody style photos
Love Like Wild — for soulful storytelling and artistic shots that feel like memories

zymarium reimagined
After the shoot, we flipped the space into Open House mode, where couples got to see the space set up like a real wedding with full layout, food service, lighting, everything. The reactions?
Exactly what we hoped: “Wait, this is a meadery?!”
We love when a venue surprises people. Zymarium is more than a bar with cool drinks; it’s an intimate, art-forward, secretly perfect wedding venue for couples who want something intimate and different.
