When Maria first came to Ribbon and Rogue, she booked our “Rebel” Partial Planning package just four months before her wedding day. She had already nailed down her venue and catering but still needed a few big players on her vendor team including photographer, officiant, and cake.
Claire got to work and found her both the perfect photographer and cake designer within her budget and aesthetic. The officiant request was a little more niche: Maria wanted a young, bilingual male officiant. While that unicorn was elusive, Claire helped guide Maria and her cousin, Luis, on how to become ordained online and gave them tips on creating the perfect ceremony script. The result? A ceremony that was more personal and heartfelt than any professional could have delivered and a memory Maria and Cody will cherish forever.

Designing the Day
Maria’s design vision was modern meets classic, with a clean palette of whites, blacks, and creamy neutrals. Baby’s breath played a starring role in the florals, paired with a stunning peony bouquet for Maria. This approach kept her design budget-friendly without losing the elegant vibe she was after.
Claire also guided Maria through a layout conundrum: where to feature the floral wall, how to stage the champagne pour without awkward pauses, and how to maximize guest comfort in the Florida heat. Together, they landed on a floor plan and timeline that felt effortless while still highlighting every detail that mattered most to the couple.
Wedding Day
On June 23rd, the summer skies kept us on our toes but thankfully the rain stayed away. Guests enjoyed a cool interior until just before the ceremony, then stepped outside with parasols in hand to keep the sun at bay. The ceremony flowed into cocktail hour in the gardens, followed by a champagne tower poured by the couple, dinner, and a packed dance floor.
Maria and Cody’s biggest wish was to spend as much time with their family and friends as possible, and the timeline was built exactly for that. Photos were quick, efficient, and intentional, leaving more space for laughter, dancing, and celebrating their love story.
Another day, another love story we’re honored to help tell. Congratulations again, Maria & Cody, you brought all the modern romance to Casa Feliz and we loved working with you!
